Association of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Nurses
St. Jude Global Nursing and the Association of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Nurses (APHON) have partnered to implement standardized chemotherapy/biotherapy-certificate education in Latin America.
Since 2014, St. Jude Global Nursing and APHON have conducted three instructor courses and six provider workshops, training 29 instructors and over 300 providers from more than 70 hospitals in Central America, the Spanish-speaking Caribbean, Mexico, Spain and South America. The collaboration continues to grow a sustainable instructor network in Latin America and to expand this initiative to other languages and regions.
