Supporting Action for Emergency Response (SAFER) Ukraine

SAFER Ukraine is a collaborative effort to aid Ukrainian children with cancer and blood disorders to receive high quality medical care, in Ukraine or abroad, through capacity building and international collaboration.

SAFER: Supporting Action for Emergency Response in Ukraine

SAFER Ukraine launched following the Russian invasion of Ukraine together with many international partners to support sustainability of high-quality cancer care for Ukrainian children. This collaborative initiative established a virtual command center to coordinate patient referral inquiries and manage medical records translations. For patients in need of referral abroad to continue treatment, a patient triage center was established and staffed with medical and operational personnel.
